Two Methods For Unsubscribe From Each Skiza Tune Individually
Method 1: Using the Skiza Code (if you know it)
- Open your phone’s messaging app.
- Create a new message and enter 811 as the recipient.
- In the message body, type “DELETE” followed by a space and then the Skiza code of the tune you want to unsubscribe from. For example, if your Skiza code is 387521g, type: DELETE 387521g
- Send the message.
- You’ll receive a confirmation SMS from Safaricom notifying you that the specific Skiza tune has been deactivated.
Method 2: Unsubscribing Without the Skiza Code
If you don’t remember the Skiza code for a particular tune, you can still unsubscribe from it:
- Dial 83760# on your phone. This code will display a list of all your currently active Skiza tunes.
- You’ll see a numbered list corresponding to each Skiza tune. Take note of the number associated with the tune you want to unsubscribe from.
- Reply to the prompt with the number corresponding to the unwanted Skiza tune.
- You’ll receive a confirmation SMS from Safaricom deactivating the selected Skiza tune.
Repeating the Process for All Skiza Tunes
Since there’s no single action to unsubscribe from all tunes, you’ll need to repeat either method 1 or 2 for each Skiza tune you want to deactivate.
